Fordite Blue Heart Rose Pendant

Fordite, also known as Detroit agate, may look like a unique beautiful stone but it is in fact various layers of old enamel automobile paint that has hardened. Once hardened it is cut and polished and repurposed as a cabochon! Fordite is one of a kind and I couldn’t help but want to repurpose it into jewelry.

This unique heart shaped Fordite cab is embedded in a unique sterling silver setting and a rose pattern special back plate/back of pendant. Pendant areas were oxidized, darkened, to enhance texture then soft brushed for a matte finish. Comes on an 24” sterling link chain.
