“SweetTooth” Young Stag Pendant with Obsidian

This one of kind handmade necklace, nicknamed SweetTooth after a binge watch of a Netflix show by the same name, features a colorful mahogany obsidian teardrop cabochon accompanied by handmade embellishments.  

Aside from the cabochon, everything else is sterling silver, including the solid cast stag head. Peak-a-boo window or opening to view the stone from a different angle, was added to the back of the pendant as a complementary teardrop silhouette. My artisan initials are on the back as well. Comes on an 22” chain.

Obsidian is volcanic lava consisting of iron, magnesium that comes in contact with water. This process produces a glassy texture in the resulting rock. High levels of iron in volcanic lava creates red tints within  black or mahogany obsidian.
